Rigtig god weekend!
Almost everybody, who has tried moving, have had the same thought, when they have been opening the boxes in their new home: Why on earth did I pack this? What was I thinking, when I brougt this here?
It is so common, because there are so many things to consider, that you get decision-tired. You have to do so many things in a very short time, and at the same time you have an everyday life, which has to be lived, so many things have to be packed in the last minute. Not to mention all the information you have to pass on to authorities about your move.
So after having sorted a lot of things, when you move out, you have to sort one more time, when you move in.
I don't know, if I will have to sort things twice. At least I hope, that it only will be small stuff. But that remains to be seen, and I take the challenge to be honest about it here on the blog.
I have decided to start out early. Not packing, but sorting. It is too early to pack anything now 3 months before time, but it is not too early to start going through closets, dressers, and cabinets, so I hopefully only move out with things of value and things, which have a purpose.
This train of thoughts was started, when the moving company contacted me, asking to see how much I own.
So I have started with my personal papers, and I was so excited, that I never got around to take a before photo. As I have become more digital, my papers have gone from 4 binders to 2 binders. I also have an archive box with work related articles (about me!) and one with manuals. I know, that I can find all these on the net, but I like to have them on print - in my hand, when I am standing trying to fix something, which doesn't quite is working as expected.
So this was the first step.
Have a great weekend!
