I min kalender står der i øjeblikket 'Øve vanen' hen over mange uger.
Rigtig god weekend!
Smallest favorite person has become a big boy, and at home the bathroom has been altered for his sake and needs. So I have done the same thing here to make everything easier for him.
That has made me think, that when we learn something new, it is good to prepare physically and mentally. Create the possibility to thrive with something new. That counts for any new routines. We have to make it attractive. Not only the result, but also the process. Because learning is a process. A journey you might say - and if the journey is uncomfortable, you are not going to 'travel' anymore.
In my calendar I have written 'Practicing the habit' over several weeks. Because I have started an online exercise program, and now 9 weeks into it, I become more and more comfortable with it. Because I prepared myself. I have made a time slot in the calendar, and I have made it easy on myself by 'furnishing' a space, so I don't have to do a lot of arranging before going into action.
Isn't it 66 days that makes a habit? I don't believe that, because this still feels new (and exciting), but hopefully it will become so much a habit to me, that when I don't think that is exciting anymore, I can see the results, that it will make me go on.
Exactly like the smallest favorite person!
Have a great weekend!
