Not silver, but brass from my grandparents' home
In my previous blog I told you about my inspiration book, and going through it (again-again-again, because it contains all my favorite photos!) I fell over a photo of a home, which hasn't got a hint of designer furniture.
The owner has good (no name) pieces of furniture, for which the most important goal is function and comfort. But he also has got a few things of high quality. A beautiful carpet, a print for the wall, a fantastic lamp, and silver candle holders. He is actually a collector of silver candlestick holders, and has a whole cluster on the dining table collected over time. It is very beautiful.
There is only one trend in that home - the owner's! It it an elegant, very personal home with a great atmosphere. Which has nothing to do with a big budget.
