Busy preparing for the 40's birthday of one of my favorite persons. It is on Saturday, and I have said yes to have the reception here in my home. So now I am starting pulling out all the family treasures out of the closets. I have just ironed 2 white damask tablecloths, so there is a wonderful smell all over the house, and they are going to be spread out until Friday, when I set the tables. The tablecloths are woven in the 1930's at Elsenore Weaving Factory, and a dear departed family member made them. They have survived all sorts of stains, and are still in mint condition. If only they could speak, they could tell stories about many happy occasions.
