Tings værdi - The Value of Things

A pair of shoes, which has to go - my ankles hurt, when I have worn them!

Things are worth the money spent, if we use them! On the other hand they are worth nothing, if we don't use them, because then we have spent our money on something worthless.

The garage, the attic and/or the basement are full of these things. How did they get there?

One at a time. Maybe as impulse purchases, which we found out, that we didn't need anyway, but just felt like buying in that moment, and these kind of purchases go into a box very fast. But we just thought, that something would become better, when we bought it. But happiness isn't stuff. Stuff is just physical overload.

So if the basement is full, then get the stuff out of there. You can sell, but remember that things have the value two persons agree about. Not a bit more, no matter what the item has cost you.

If things don't sell, then give them back to 'society', to the ones who have less. A bit like a friend of mine, who collected 'insteresting' rocks. When he found no value in his stone collection anymore, he gave them back to Nature :-)

In other words: Let things live, bring them back in circulation.
