Overforbrug - Excess Consumption

Mega-stort!
Flere vogne pr. familie.
Jeg forstår godt, at man gerne vil have gode tilbud. For sådan fungerer 'god' markedsføring'.
Forbrug burde starte med forstavelsen 'over-'(forbrug).

Saturday a new shopping center opened in the city I live in. Giga-big! And giga-ugly! Actually so ugly that it should be forbidden to build anything with so little sense for vision. It is a grey/black concrete bunker.
Approx. 28.100 people live in my city, and it was expected that 100.000 customers would come the first day, so the home guard and the police were there to prevent to much traffic chaos.
I don't know, how it looked earlier in the day, but I biked by at 7.30 at night, and there was still a 30 meter long queue outside a big shop with electronics, and lots of people with big shopping carts filled to the top. Several carts per family.
I understand that you want a good bargain. I understand that you want to save money. But I doubt, whether most people have saved anything at all. Many has probably bought a lot more than they had anticipated, before they left home. Because that is how 'good advertising' works. They might also have bought something different from their original intention, when the offers were gone. And things, which they don't need at all.
Consumption should start with the prefix 'over-'(consumption).
