One plastic container left! I am still missing a good container for my butter.
Total thai-kylling middag - Total Thai chicken dinner
Plastic is slowly disappearing from my home. The plastic containers, which I suspected might contain phthalates, were thrown in our local plastic container, and driven to a plant, which destroys them in a responsible manner.
The rest of my plastic containers will, when they break or otherwise become unusable, go the same way. There is no reason to buy something new, when you still can use things. Just to throw something is not sustainable. You should use, what you have, until its end, now it has been produced.
So what do I have in my kitchen? What has replaced the plastic?
A lot of beautiful glass containers in different shapes. Some I have bought (with lots of food in), others I have 'snatched' from friends and relatives. The glass collector lady! Yes, we all have to have a hobby!
It works for me. I use them for everything. A couple of meatballs for next days lunch, washed vegetables, leftovers from yesterday. It is easy to see, what I have in my fridge, and they are easy to clean. And then they cost nothing!
And if they break, they go to the glass container and will be reused without doing any damage to our environment. Win-win!
